Exceptional Antique French 6 Light Murano Grape Crystal Solid Brass Chandelier

 

A truly beautiful and rare example of an antique chandelier from France dating back to the late 1800's. The chandelier is complete with all of its original crystals, glass flower rosettes, glass columns and grape clusters.

 

The chandelier has 3x crystal glass finials, which one has been replaced at some point and has a slightly shorter spike than the other two original ones.

The chandelier is in very good condition considering its age and delicacy. All the crystals and grape clusters are in good condition with no damage. The crystal finials are all in good condition with no damage apart from one being replaced at some point.

 

The glass columns are also in good condition with no cracks or damage apart from the top column piece having nibbles and small chips to the top rim of the glass piece, which is normally expected with age.

 

The chandelier also has its original milk glass candle sleeves with no damage.

 

It has its original patina to retain its age, the frame is solid brass but has an aged off silver colour with age related marks throughout.

The ceiling rose is not original to the chandelier but the chain is.

There is 3x screw holes on the ceiling rose and a hoop inside to fix and hang from.

This chandelier takes 3x Small Twist Bulbs (E14) on the outer arms and 3x Large Bayonet Bulbs to the centre of the chandelier.

 

Recommended Max. 40 watt bulbs.
