Fabulous Antique Vintage French 1 Light Flute Cut Glass Urn Brass Hanging Lantern

Circa 1940s

A truly beautiful and unusual lantern from France. The lantern has a thick cut glass Urn style shape which slots together into 2 sections to access the bulb within. Please see photos.

Worth noting:

(The bottom section of the glass comes down by turning the bottom brass hoop finial off the thread and unscrewing the safety screw on the brass collar. It may require a second pair of hands to hold the bottom section of the glass lantern to avoid accidentally dropping once hung in situ!)

The ornate and decorative brass fitments are not original to the glass lantern and has been restored at some point. 

The lantern is in good condition for its age with only a couple of small chips but are difficult to see once in situ.
